You’d be MAD not to come to these workshops!

Submissions to Arts Council of Mansfield’s MAD Tales collection close in September so there’s still time to create a great story and send it in!

Workshops at the library in August

The Arts Council is collaborating with the Mansfield Library to host workshops for children and adult writers in August. So whether you’re young or old – if you’re not sure where to start, or need a little refresher, these short writing workshops are just for you.

‘All the great writers draw on what they know,’ says the Arts Council’s newest member Miriam Zolin, who will be leading the workshops. ‘The best stories include moments of truth and real-life inspiration.’

Dig out those family stories…

Do you have a family story of bravery or intrigue? What about a funny story about someone you know? A happy accident, a near miss, a sad moment? These workshops will show you how to take a real event and turn it into a story that people can’t resist.

And best of all you’ll be working with other writers, sharing your work and having heaps of fun!
