Three Faces portraits prize – the unveiling

Every two years, Arts Mansfield hosts this portrait exhibition that celebrates a member of our community with a portrait painted by a local artist.

The subject of the portrait is announced at ‘The Reveal’ in April. Three artists must then create a portrait of the subject, arranging sittings and working hard to create a work of art that brings out the essence of the subject.

2018 subject and artists

Michele Padbury was announced as this year’s sitter at the Reveal which was held on 27 April. Since then, three local artists Pam Moore, Allan Jack and Kym Stubbs, have been creating portraits using different mediums and these will be judged by Benalla Art Gallery curator, Meridith Paez and Mansfield Shire Council Mayor, Paul Volkering.

Thursday 7 June, 7:30 pm, Delatite Hotel Mansfield

At this event three adult artists will unveil their finished portraits of Michele Padbury, Mansfield Citizen of the Year 2015. The winner will be judged by Shire Mayor, Paul Volkering on behalf of the Mansfield Shire Council, and Meredith Paez, curator at Benalla Gallery.

This evening promises lots of mad-cap fun and surprises in addition to the excitement of the winning artworks from the Adult and a Junior Category being selected.
