Arts Council wants your MAD Tales!

typewriterAre you a Mansfield writer who dreams of being published?  If so, then MAD Tales is just for you. As part of the Spring Arts Festival, the Arts Council of Mansfield is looking for poetry, stories and non-fiction from new and unpublished local writers.

Following last year’s successful Bushy Tales competition, we’ve moved to a more community focus. This is not a competition. Instead, we’re going to publish around 20 pieces of local writing in a booklet called MAD Tales that celebrates Mansfield’s unsung literary talent.

Categories for children, young people and adults

We’d love to see writing submissions from children (up to 12 years), young people (13-18 years) and adults (19 years and above)

We’ll choose 20 of the best stories submitted and publish the MAD Tales collection, celebrating writing and writers in Mansfield. The collection will be launched at a fun event in late October, where selected writers can read from their work.

All selected authors will receive time with an editor, publication in MAD Tales, an invitation to the launch party and a copy of the booklet to keep.
