10.30am – 4.30pm each day
MOST is an annual program of creative studios opening to the public on the Saturday and Sunday of the Melbourne Cup weekend in the Mansfield Shire. These creative spaces form the Mansfield Open Studio Trail (MOST).
Visitors to MOST tour the Mansfield Shire and discover the amazing array of artists local to our region. Our creatives open their doors to the public and invite them in. It is an opportunity for the public to gain an insight into the inner workings of a studio, see practical demonstrations, view, and purchase artworks directly from the studio door and maker. We are particularly excited to see our participating artists swell in numbers and we are very excited that some of our artists are participating in MOST for the very first time.
This concept was originally the idea of well-known local artist, Wendy Jagger, who has been opening her own studio for several years on the Cup Weekend. This year will be her 11th Open Studio.
In a year of many closed events, exhibitions of lost opportunities due to COVID19 restrictions, the arts community has been severely hit. So, the artists of Mansfield are rallying together to generate support for their work and to give the community an event they can attend, albeit in Covid-Safe numbers.
