Klytie Pate Ceramics Award 7 – 14 March 2018

Following the enormous success of the inaugural Klytie Pate Award for Ceramics in 2017 we are now calling for entries in the 2018 competition and exhibition.

2017 winner of the Klytie Pate Award ‘A small brewed’ by Dianne Peach

Named after the renowned ceramicist Klytie Pate, the award offers a $3000 prize and is open to  ceramicists all over Australia. Klytie Pate was a prolific artist until her death in 2010 and her work is regarded as highly collectible. Examples of Klytie’s work are exhibited in a dedicated Treasury at Beleura House on the Mornington Peninsula.

The $1500 New Ceramic Artist Award has been established in honour of the late Mark Brabham and generously sponsored by the Brabham family.

Visitors to the exhibition in March 2018 have the opportunity to make their mark on the outcome of the competition by choosing their favourite work and placing their vote in a ballot.

‘Banksia Serrata’ by Cathy Franzi won the 2017 Peoples Choice Award

Without Pier Gallery in Melbourne is the generous sponsor of the People’s Choice Prize which comprises a $500 cheque and an invitation to exhibit at the gallery in Cheltenham.
