Sarah Maslan @ Bos Taurus

Local photographer Sarah Maslankiewicz is exhibiting at Bos Taurus during Spring Arts and Targa in 2017. Her explorations of seeing and consciousness are brought to light in these images of almost-grass.

Flora’s Secret

Usually photographers want to capture the rocky crop, the hut, the rolling hills of flowers with a sunset and they are done. I want to capture the air that surrounds them.

My dreamy mood obsession is with representing the almost invisible movements and seeking to express the relationship between consciousness and what we really see.

Xerochrysum bracteatum, commonly known as the golden everlasting or strawflower, is native to Australia and can commonly be found in our Victorian High Country. These were photographed at Craig’s Hut, Victoria in Autumn 2016.
